The Club Formerly Known as The Paradise Factory is on Princess Street, on the edge of Manchester City Centre. The venue was once home to the headquarters of Factory Records, but after their demise the venue became the Paradise Factory - a three floor clubspace that because hugely popular within Manchesters gay community. The club also put on a number of notable midweek events, including DJs that were at the more credible end of house music. The Paradise Factory closed as the new Millenium began - and after a brief stint at 'Industry', an attempt by the former owners to run a straight venue, the club shut in 2004.
Now the owners of the Warehouse Project, another Manchester clubbing institution, have purchased the venue and they plan on opening the Paradise Factory for six months of the year. Manchester's Mike Pickering and adopted Mancunian Laurent Garnier set the ball rolling at the launch party in January 2008. Tickets for the following three months are on sale now - as with other Warehouse Project events, it's recommended that you purchase tickets well in advance to avoid disapointment.
